DELAO D. DUNKLEE, OF NORTIIAMITON, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A CARD-MOUNT FOR PHOTOGRAPHS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,638, dated June 11, 1901. Application flied May l0, 1901. Serial No. 59.708- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom if; may concern.-
Be it known that I, DELANo D. DUNKLEE, of Northampton, in the county of Hampshire and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Card-Mounts for Photographs, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
This invention is a design for a card-mount for photographs, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan or elevation of the front of the card, and Fig. 2 is a section on line 2 2 of Fig. l.
The invention or design consists in a rectangular card @,having in its center a slightlydepressed plane surface b, oval in shape, on which the photographic print is to be placed, an oval bead or enlbossment c, surrounding the plane surface 1J, a depressed plane surface d, surrounding the oval bead c and formed with its outer edges parallel with the edges of the4 card u, and a plane surface e, surrounding the plane (Zand having its outer edges respectively parallel te the outer edges of the surface (Z and at substantially the same distance from the latter, the plane of the surface c being slightly lower than that of the outer portion of the card, but higher than that of the surface d.
The dividing-lines between the depressed and elevated surfaces d e are sharply defined, and the combination of an oval surrounded by rectangles produces a very artistic effect as a mounting for photographic pictures.
I claim- The design for a cardmount for photographs, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have alxed my signature in presence of two Witnesses.
