JOSEPH ADKINS, OF HILLSBOROUGH, INDIANA, ASSIGNOR OF ONE-HALF TO AUSTIN R. FRAZIER, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A NAIL-SET.
SPECIFICATION formin part of Design No. 33,792, dated December 25, 1900. Application 5185 February 1900- Serifil Term of patent 14 yaers.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH ADKINS,a citizen of the United States, residing at Hillsborough, in thecountyof Fountain and Stateof Indiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Nail-Set, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and useful design for a nail-set; and the essential feature residesin the design as illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein is shown a perspective view of the nail-set embodying the invention.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a nail-set embodying the present design. Fig. 2 is an end elevation thereof.
- The elongated gradually and regularly tapered body 1 has a reduced extremity 2 and an opposite enlarged end 3, and adjacent the latter end the said body is intersected by a shorter regularly-tapered shank 4, which is in a plane at a right angle Tbth'said body and has a greater portion extended from one side of the latter than from the opposite side. Both the shank and the body are rounded in 5 cross-section, and the shank has an enlarged end 5 close to the enlarged end 3 0f the body, and both enlargements have fiat outer terminals of circular form. The body and the shank also taper continuously from their en- 30 larged ends to their reduced ends, and the enlarged end 5 of the shank is the sole projection from its side of the body 1 and sets in close to the latter, thereby producing an approximate L-shaped device.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is The design for a nail-set, as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as 40 my own I have hereto alfixed my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
JOSEPH ADKINS.
W'ituesses:
FRED C. WYAND, JOSIAH FRAZIER.
