To attain the desired object, my invention consists of a fan of shield shape having the front and rear or reverse sides ornamented to render the fan of beautiful appearance.
Figure 1 represents a front view of my fan, and Fig. 2 represents a view of the back or reverse side.
My fan A is of shield shape, and upon the front is the shield B, having a flaginclosed in the border, and to each side are the flags C, and inclosed by the flags is the rectangular panel D. Directly below the panel is an ornamental inclosure E, in whichis an eagle F. Below the eagle is a circular inclosure G, and
on each side of the inclosure E is a pictorial representation of an ocean steamer H and a train of cars J, below which representations are the inelosures K and L, in which are pictorial representations M of a series of factories and N of a farm, the general idea of the representations being peace, prosperity, and happiness.
On the back or reverse side of the fan at the top is the horizontal panel 0, below this the curved or segmental panel P, and below the panel P are the vertically-disposed panels Q, and under the panels Q are the eagles R, each having in its beak the banner S, and at the top of the fan is the clover and banner ornamentation T.
It is evident that I provide a design for fans which is of ornamental and attractive appearance and which fan is practical and useful for the intended purpose.
