CHRISTIAN AIJLMAN, OF HUNTINGTON, INDIANA.
DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE CRANK AND SPROCKET-WHEEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,702, dated May 22, 1900.
Application filed April 13, 1900. Serial N01 12,774. Term of patent 14 years To 0035 whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHRISTIAN ALLMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Huntington, in the county of Huntington and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for a Bicycle Crank and Sprocket-\Vheel, of which the following is a specification.
Figure 1 is a plan View of a bicycle cran and sprocket-wheel, showing mynew design. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the same.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a wheel comprising an outer rim, a series of spokes connected to the inner edge of the rim, a central aperture, and a crank-arm ext-ending outward from the face of one of the spokes and outward away from the rim of the Wheel. The spokes taper in width as they extend ontward to the rim ,and the in nor end of the crank arm conforms to the shape of the face of the spoke and has a rib upon its outer surface, which extends outward and merges into a round crank-arm having an aperture in its outer end. The aperture at the center of the spokes has two flat sides and two curved surfaces. Sprockets are formed on the periphcry of the wheel.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim is The design fora bicycle crank and sprocketwheel, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
CIIRIS'IIAN ALLMAN.
