5R5 co. movom'um. WASDHNGTON a c UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ISAAC N. MARQUIS, OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, ASSIGNOR TO THE STANDARD LIGHT COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A VAPOR-BURNER.
sPEcIFI'cATIoN forming part of Design No. 32,213, dated February 13, 1900.
Application filed January 13, 1900i Serial No. 1,392. Terin of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, IsAAo N. MARQUIS, a citizen of the United States of America, residing in Kansas City, in the county of Jackson nd State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Vapor- Burners, of which the following is a specification, reference beinghad therein to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 represents an elevational view of a Vapor-burner, showing my new design. Fig. 2 represents a plan view of the same.
The leading or material feature of my design consists in the configuration of the burner, as follows: The base portion B is in the form of a horizontal disk, the periphery of which is broken by a curved notch I and concentrically from the upper side of which rises the hollow cylindrical portion A, the periphery of which at one side and end adjacent to the disk B is provided with ahorizontal slot C. Upon the under side of the disk B, at one side thereof and located below the slot C, is a radially -disposed partiallycylindrical horizontal boss G, which is connected by a vertically-disposed bridge E with the vertical cylindrical jet portion D, located below the disk B and disposed concentrically therewith. The under side of the bridge E is obliquely inclined and has depending therefrom a U- shaped bracket portion F. The base Bis provided with a center vertical hole H there through. The disposition of the portion D relative to the base B is such that a rectangular open space is formed by the two parts in conjunction with the bridge E and the in= ner end of the boss G.
My invention is applicable to various styles of burners, such as use gas or oil.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a vapor-burner as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
ISAAC N. MARQUIS.
