DESIGN FOR A STEERING-AXLE FOR LOCOMOBILES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,947, dated December 5, 1899.
Application filed November 11, 1899. Serial No- 736,698. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, FRANCIS EDGAR STAN- LEY and FREELAN OSCAR STANLEY, citizens of the United States, residing at Newton, in
' the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Steering-Axles for Locomobiles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the accompanying drawing our new design is shown in perspective.
The essential feature of our new design for steering-axles comprises an arched member, a
' straight member, union socket-pieces at the outer ends of the two members the outer portions of the socket-pieces being f0rked,and brackets on the two members, and a vertical tube mounted in the brackets.
Thus, referring. to the drawing, A is the arched member, and B is the straight memnames to this specification in the presence of 35 two subscribing witnesses.
