DESIGN FOR AN ESCUTCHEON.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,91 1, dated November 28, 1899.

Application filed August 28, 1899. Serial No.728,800. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, ARTHUR L. REED, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the borough of Manhattan, in the city and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for an Escutcheon, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

The essential features of my design consist in an escutcheon provided with an eye or loop uprising from the central portion of its surface and with ornamental embellishment at intervals along its margin and on its face.

In the accompanyingdrawings, Figure 1 is a view of the escutcheon in face elevation. Fig. 2 is a view of the same in side or edge elevation, and Fig. 3 is a transverse section from front to rear.
