UNITED STATES HERMAN J. .IAEGER, OF NEIV YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR TO THE MINIATURE AND DECORATIVE LAMP COMPANY, Ol SAME PATENT OFFICE.
AMERICAN P L A C E.
DESIGN FOR AN INCANDESCENT ELECTRIC LAMP.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 31 ,317, dated August 1, 1899.
Application filed June 1'7, 1899. Serial No. 720,983. Term of patent '7 years To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HERMAN J. JAEGER, a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of the borough of Manhattan, New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Incandescent Electric Lamps, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The accompanying drawing represents a design which embodies my invention.
The leading feature of my design consists in an incandescent electric lamp comprising an elongated lower portion, cylindrical in shape, forming a tube, and this tube is provided at its top with an enlarged portion forming a rim. This rim adjoins the lower portion of the lamp-bulb.
The drawing illustrates an incandescent electric lamp, in which A represents the lampbulb; B, the tube-shaped lower portion; C, the rim; D, the conducting-wires, and E the filament, the wires being embedded in insulating material throughout the entire length of the tube B. When made or completed, the lamp-bulb A and the tube-shaped lower portion B form an inseparable whole.
Having thus described my invention, I claim- The design for an incandescent electric lamp, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
HERMAN .T. JAEGER.
