No. 30,596. 7 Patented Apr. l8, I899. *T. CURSBADEN.
PULLEY SEGMENT.
(Application filed May a; 1897 Wdnedded I jiwezzor" UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
THOMAS UORSGADEN, OF NEW BRITAIN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIG-NOR TO 'llll AME HUAN IULLEY COMPANY, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A PULLEY-SEGMENT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,596, dated April 18, 1899.
Application filed May 8, 1897. Serial No. 635,746. Term of patent 14 years.
To It whom 72m concern:
lie it known that I, THOMAS CORSCADEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Britain, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produeed a new and original Design for a Pulley-Rim Segment, of which the followingis a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in whicl1-= Figure 1 is a perspective VlGW of my pulleyrim segment. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the pulley-rim segment, and Fig. 3 is a transverse seetion of same.
The leading or material feature of my device consists of the pulley-rim segment A, having a rolled or beaded edge B on one side and an inwardly-projeeting flange 2 on its other side, the inner edge of said flange being concentric to the pulley-rim and terminating at a short distance therefrom, as shown. At one end of the roll or bead 13 is a dowel-pin 3 slightly projecting therefrom. The entire rim-seg ment forms one-half of the circumference of the wheel, and the flange 2 and face or body of the rim-segment A stand at about right angles to each other.
The plane-faced rim-segment, with the Hat, thin, and inwardly-prejecting flange 2 at one edge and roll B at the other, constitutes a very simple and pleasing design.
\Vhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a pulley-rim segment as herein shown and described.
THOMAS CORSGADEN.
