DESIGN FOR A WIRE FENCE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,421, dated March 28, 1899.
Application filed February 15,1899. Serial No. 705,582- Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that l, JESSE I'I. SROFE, a citizen of the United States, residingat Kokomo, in the county of Howard and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and usef 111 Design for Wire Fences, of which the following is a specification.
In the drawing I have shown a side eleva tion of a wire fence, presenting my design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or important features of my design consist in the fence having the horizontal or strand wires A, B, C, D, E, and F, running longitudinally through the fence, and the double pickets G, having curved tops, which overlap or cross each other above the top of the horizontal strand or wire A and which have parallel portions g, extending the distance be tween the strands or wires A and B, and the inclined portions 9', converging toward each other through the space between the strands or wires B and O, and the parallel portions G, extending through the space between the strands or wires 0 and D, and the inclined portions 9,, diverging from each other through the space between the strands or wires D and E, and the inclined portions G converging toward each other through the space between the strands or wires E and F, and the single pickets H, inserted between the double pick ets G, so as to vertically bisect the diamond spaces formed by the converging and diverging portions g, g", and g of the double pick ets, the whole presenting an attractive and ornate appearance, as shown in the drawing.
