DESIGN.
J. H-. SROPE. WIRE FENCE.
No. 28,500. Patented Apr. 19, 1898.
INVENTOR Jssa I. 67945 ATTORNEYS.
WIT/H8858:
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JESSE H. SROFE, OF KOKOMO, INDIANA.
DESIGN FOR A WIRE FENCE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,500, dated April 19, 1898.
Application filed December 7,1897. Serial No. 661,112. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JESSE H. SROFE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Kokorno, in the county of Howard and State of Indiana, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Wire Fences, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, in which- Figure 1 is an elevation of a fence-panel, showing my new design; and Fig. 2 is a detail View of one of the pickets.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the fence having the several horizontal or cross strands O, 0, O and O and the pickets A, having the curved tops B, which overlap, as shown, above the strand 0, have the parallel portions B between the strands O and G, the inclined portions B crossing each other between the strands O' and C and between the strands (l and G, and the lower end portions, which diverge below the lower strand 0 such lower portions being arranged in pairs and the portions of each pair diverging, as shown.
The pickets and the cross-strands O, C, and 0 present the appearance of twisted wire, giving the panel and pickets an appearance producing the effect of a fabric.
In the fence-panel the portions B of one picket extend on lines parallel to and nearly in alinement with one of the portions 13 of the next picket, the several pickets forming series of diamonds D and half-diamonds D by the crossing of the portions 13 and the portions B as shown in Fig. 1.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a wire fence as herein shown and described.
JESSE H. SROFE.
