DESIGN FOR A CLAMP MEMBER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,921, dated January 3, 1899.
Application filed November 21, 1898. Serial No. 697,104. Term of patent 7 years.
To all 107mm it may concern:
Be it known that we, FRANK RADFORD and EDWARD C. BoYER, citizens of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of 5 Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Clamp Member, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and in which like characters of reference refer to correspondingly-formed parts.
Our invention relates to a design for a clamp member for use more especially in grinding-machines.
Figure 1 is a top plan View of a clamp member embodying our new and useful design. Fig. 2 is a front elevation thereof. Fig. 3 is a sectional VlGW thereof on line a: a; of Fig. 2; and Fig. i is a rear elevation thereof, these four views being deemed essential to fully illustrate our new and useful design.
The horizontal bar G is provided with three upward extensions II, terminating in rearward projections I, and two downwardly-extending arms J near the opposite ends of said bar G, while an opening K extends through the center of the length of said bar G, while on the rear side of each of the arms J is an angular projection L. Upon the front side of said bar G is a raised portion M.
The essential feature of our design for a clamp member consists of a horizontal bar having three upward rearwardly-bent extensions and two downwardly-extending arms and an opening centrally through said bar.
