TO ALL WHOM I'I MAY CONCERN Be it known that I, CHALES P. KIMBALL, of Portland, in the county of Cumberland, and State of Maine, have invented and originated a new and useful Design for the Exterior of the Body of a Sleigh, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, said drawings forming part of this specification, and exhibiting the shape or pattern of a sleigh, which forms the subject of my application.

The peculiarity of this design consists in forming the exterior or outside of the body of the sleigh into a certain pattern or shape, for the purpose of increasing the beauty from the ordinary shape of sleigh-bodies, whose exteriors are made Hat and smooth. lThis design does not relate to the shape or form of the whole body,

. 0r the relative position of thevarious parts to each other, but has in view the formation of the surface of the exterior of the bodies of sleighs in a. peculiar manner.

For this purpose, the surface of the exterior of the body of the sleigh is composed of a regular succession of elevationsand depressions. Both the depressions and elevations are curved in their shape, so as to form alternate convexities and concavities on the said surface, the said shape being wrought out of the material of which the said exterior of the body is composed. a and b, in the drawing, illustrate the irregularities or corrugations of the surface above described.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- Thc design for the exterior of the body of asleigh, as herein set forth and shown.
