Application filed September 8, 1898. Serial No 690,535. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J OHN G. KOENEN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Mount Vernon, in the county of Westchester and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Eye; glass-Gases,-of which the following is a specification.
In the accompanying drawings, to which reference is made and which form a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a perspective View of my newly-designed eyeglass-case partially open, and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same closed.
A A represent slightly curved or dished surfaces of the cover of the eyeglass-ease. From a point near the edge B of the cover and at the center thereof the same is bulged at O and given a steeper slope than that of the curved or dished surfaces A A, and this elevated surface 0 joins the curved surfaces A A by sloping sides D D. The edge E of the eyeglass-case is shaped with an outward bend or curve F at the center thereof, and from this curved portion the front slopes downward tothe bottom of the case, the sides H H thereof sloping down to the slightly dished or curved surfaces J J of the front.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for an eyeglass-ease as herein shown and described.
