DESIGN FOR A BOX-COVER BRACE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,391, dated September 20, 1898. Application filed July 13, 1898. Serial No. 685,873- Term of patent 3%- years a new and original Design for Box-Cover Braces, of which the following is a specification.
Figure l is a perspective. Fig. 2 is a perspective taken from a position substantially IO at right angles to the first position and looking at the same side.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or essential feature of my design for a box-cover brace consists of the portion 3, the upper edge and one of the side edges of said portion 3 being a curved line 3 and the other side edge being a straight line 3 inclined to an angle of about thirty degrees relative to a vertical line, the portions at and 5 extending downwardly from the portion 3, the inner edges 4:
and 5 of said portions 4 and 5, respectively, being straight and Vertical, the lower edges of said portions being curved lines 4 and 5 and the'outer edge -l of the portion a being a continuation of the curved line 3 and the outer edge of the portion 5 being a curved line 5 connecting the straight line 3 with the curved line I)", and said portions 4: and 5 being separated by the opening or slot 8, the
portion 6 projecting laterally from the upper 0 edge of the portion 3 at a point above the upper end of the line 3 at an angle parallel with the said line 3", the free edge of said portion 6 being a curved line 6, and the portion 7 projecting. laterally from the portion 3 on the line 3", the free edge of said portion 7 being a curved line '7, connecting the curved line 5 with the curved line (3, said portions 6 and 7 being in parallel planes.
I claim- The design for a box-cover brace substantially as herein shown and described.
