TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:`

Be it known that I, ELEMIR J. NEY, of Lowell, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have originated and designed a new Pattern for Carpets or other fabrics, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specication.

A, in the centre, is a set figure in the form ol' a diamond. Said diamond is composed of key-worl, leaves, and sprigs. B is half of a set gure, and when matched will form a centre like A. C is an eight-cornered ligure, the combination of which is shown in the drawing. D is halt' of a figure, and when matched will form a figure like C. E is an ohlong-shaped figure, running at right angles to figure A. The particular form and combination are shown in the drawing.

The colors employed for the dii'ercnt portions of the design may be varied to suit the taste and Wish of the manufacturer. i

Claim. What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is The design or pattern for carpets or other fabrics herein set forth.
