JOHN BRATSING, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,883, dated June 21, 1898.
Application filed May 12, 1898. Seri T0 (455 whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN .BRATSING, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and pro duced a new and original Design for Badges and Similar Articles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The said drawing illustrates a front View of my newly-designed badge or similar article, which consists of a background rectangular in outline, shaded at the top from side to side to indicate blue, and shaded at the bottom, also from side to side, to indicate gray, the two shades gradually merging as they approach each other toward the horizontal center of the badge, all as indicated in the drawing. Extending across the face of thebadge at approximately the horizontal cen ter thereof and overlying the background are two hands al No. 680,527. Term of patent 7 years.

The leading features of my design consist of the background, shaded as described, the grasped hands, and the coat-sleeves, shaded as described.
Having thus described my invention, What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a badge or similar article, as herein shown and described.
