SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,744, dated May 31, 1898.
Application filed April 9,1898. Serial No. 677,096. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, HIRAM PERCY MAXIM, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city and county of Hartford, State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new and original Design for a Plug for Electrical Purposes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
This invention relates to plugs such as are employed for the purpose of making connection between an electrical supplycable and a storage battery or other like purposes; and it consists in the form and configuration of the design, as hereinafter more particularly described.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a view in side elevation of a plug formed in accordance with my invention. Fig. 2 is an elevation of the same as seen from the right in Fig. 1.
A plug which embodies my design may be described in general terms as for kor Y shaped, having three members A, A, and A Each member A and A has near its extremity a tapering portion a, which runs into a portion a of reduced diameter. Between each portion a and the member A is a portion (2 substantially at right angles with the axis ofthe portion a and of the memberA, the two pertions a running into each other and having the member A disposed at the point ofjuncture of the two at substantially right angles therewith or parallel with the axes of the portions a a. The member A is substantially circular in crosssection and when viewed in side elevation is seen to be of reduced diameter between its outer end and its point of juncture With the members A A I claim as my invention- The design for a plug for electrical purposes, substantially as shown and described.
