Description

D1 70. OR D 28.591 EX DESIGN.
B. HART. GYCLOMETER CASING.
No. 28,591. Patented May 10, 1898 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EDWIN HART, OF WATERBURY, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE WATERBURY WATCH COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A CYCLOMETER-CASING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,591, dated May 10, 1898.
Application filed March 17, 1898. Serial No. 674,269. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWIN HART, of Waterbury, in the county of New Haven, and in the State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new and original Design for Cyclorneter- Casings; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a casing embodying my design, and Fig. 2 an end elevation thereof.
Letters of like name and kind refer to like parts in each of the figures.
The object of my invention is to provide a new shape for cyclometer-casings; and to this end said invention consists in the design for a casing, substantially as herein set forth.
The leading feature of my design is the shape, which is that of a cylinder A, with a 20 longitudinal projection 13 at one side that is of smaller cross-section than the cylinder and in cross-section is elliptical or oval, except that one of the longer sides of the ellipse is lacking by reason of the fact that such side 25 is the one where the projection adjoins the cylinder.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is-- The design for a casing, substantially as 30 herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand this 7th day of March, 1898.
EDWIN HART.
