DESIGN FOR A PUMP-HOUSING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,546, dated. May 3, 1898.
Application filed February 7, 1898. Serial No. 669,465. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, IIUGH KIMES, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Housing for Pumps; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is an elevation of either side of a pump-housingconstructed in accordance with my design. Fig. 53 is a perspective view of my design for a pump-housing.
As is shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design comprise a pump-housing having two end and two intermediate journal-boxes and consisting of two sides A 13, which taper outwardly from top to bottom, with four bearings at their upper terminalsto wit, two end bearings C D and two intermediate bearings E F. Each side of said housing consists of four upright standards C D and E F in vertical lines with the 2 5 bearings C D and E F and which are united or tied together by two horizontal integral bars G II and a bottom flange I. On each side of said standards and on each side of the tie-bars G II there are two series of openings J J, through which access is had to the inte- 3o rior of the housing. The sides are joined at their ends by integral walls K, that cross above an oblong opening L and through which there is an opening M.
N designates vertical guides interposed between the standards.
On each of the end walls K there is a vertical strengthening-rib K, that joins the end bearings C D.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new,and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a pump-housing, as herein shown and described.
