DESIGN FOR A BODY FOR CHILDRENS CARRIAGES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,318, dated February 22, 1898.
Application filed 311118 21, 1897. Serial N 641,719 Term of patent 7 years.
I all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, HARVEY A. DIXON, a 1izen of the United States, residing at the ;y of Port Huron, in the county of St. Clair .d State of Michigan, have invented and prolced a new and original Design for Bodies r Childrens Carriages or Push Carts, of Iich the following is a specification, refer ce being had to the accompanying drawing. In the drawing is shown a perspective view a body for a childs carriage or push-cart Ibodying my design. As shown in the drawing, the leading or esntial feature of the design is the configution or form of the body, comprising the at-supporting or push frame, consisting of e gracefully-curved substantially ogee side- .rs b 1), extending from their lowermost ends a generally rearward and upward direction constitute the handle or push bars of the rriage-frame, and the springs c 0, one exnding from the under side of the lower portion of each side-bar b backward in a long compound curve and having its rear end bent or curved to form a large loop 0', pass over, back of, and under the rear axle e, to which latter it is attached. Connecting the sidebars I) b at their forward ends is a cross plate or bar g, forming a foot-rest. Between the side-bars b b, above the foot-rest, is a seat d, provided, preferably,with arm and back rests.
On each side of the frame is a gracefullycurved fender or mud-guard ffor the wheels.
h is the forward axle, crossing the frame at its lower end and secured to the side-bars b b.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a body for a childs carriage or push-cart, substantially as shown and described.
