DESIGN FOR A GUIDE-SUPPORTING BEAM FOR ELEVATORS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,828, dated November 9, 1897.

Application filed February 19, 1897- Serial No. 624,283. Term of patent 14 years initspeculiarconfigurationandoutline,\vhieh comprises a beam straight at its ends, but bent at its middle part into a shape substantially similar to the letter U, which gives to the beam a eharm'teristie and distinguishing appearanee.

The design is illustrated in the aeeompanying drawing, which is a perspective View of my novel design.

The beam is in the form of a straight pieee bent in the middle to substantially a U shape, having its ends substant ially in the same line.

My design diseloses a beam which presents to the eye a eharaeteristie and distinguishing a 'ipearanee, varying from other designs of beams partieulartv in having its ends straight and lying in the same plane parallel to each other and its middle bent into a shape resembling the letter U.
