SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,582, dated August 31, 1897.

T0 at whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, EDWIN A. GUINZBURG, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York city, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bathing Stockings, of which the following is a specification.

The accompanying drawing represents the appearance of my new bathing-stockin gs.

The leading characteristic of this design is the appearance of a slipper n pen the foot portion of the stocking, which is provided, like ordinary bathing-stockin gs, with a sole of proper material.

In the. drawing the leg portion A of the stocking is in one piece with the foot portion It. The appearance of a low shoe over the foot portion of the stocking is produced by the heel portion 0, which covers the heel of the stocking, and the tip D, which covers the toe portion of the stocking. The heel portion 0 has a flap with abuttonhole which buttons over the top of the foot portion B of the stocking.

The effect of my design may be heightened by having the portion A of a different color than the portions B, O, and D.

That I claim is The design for bathing-stockings substantially as shown and described.
