Application filed March 12, 1897. Serial No. 627,247. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Beit known that we, IVILLIAM J. WRIGHT, of Pittsburg, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, and FRED G. DIETE- 5 RICH, of the city of Washington, District of Columbia, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Snap-Hooks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, in
10 which the figure illustrates the design in perspective.
The leading feature of our design consists in the ornamental representation of the body and the ring-likeport-ion. The body hasa base :5 representation (1, having a rounded front end, a central opening portion 1;, one end of which curves upwardly, as at C, and terminates in forwardly-extended sides (I, which extend forward in a plane with the base portion and 20 their ends having the form of eye-like enlargements e. The side representations (Z have an arched or hood-like portion f. The inner face of the bent-up end has a compound curvature f, while the rear end terminates in upwardly and downwardly extending curva- 25 tures which produce a transverse oblong handle or ring-like body 71, having flattened portions i atthe juncture with the end of the intervening space between the sides (Z, on which is a raised portion having knob-like repre- 3o sentations.
The front end of the sides terminate in a forwardly-extending tongue-like member, which is shown as extending down into the opening in the base, such sides also having a 5 forwardly-extending ornamental representation J, which has an upward curve K.
The rear face of the tongue has a concave shape, while the heads 0 appear as pivot-head representations. 4o
