DESIGN FOR A RUG.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,003, dated April 27, 1897.

Application filed March 23, 1897. Serial No. 628,918. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ADoLPH PETZOLD, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Rugs, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part of this specification.

My invention relates to the surface ornamentation of a Woven rug; and it consists of the design therefor shown in the aforesaid drawing, the distinguishing features of the design being a narrow rectangular border A of straight parallel lines and between them an irregular vine-like figure A. IVithin the border is a figure having a rectangular outline B, with top and bottom cross-bars Cand a central irregular-shaped figure D, with varied ornamentation filling up the field center.

I claim as new and of my invention The design for a rug, substantially as set forth.
