Axmucw J. lion. :1 vitizen 0f the United States, residing at \Yalnut (Tove, in the eountyot Stokes, State of North Carolina, have inmnted and produced a new and original Design fora Mantel, of \Yllll'll the following is a speeitieation, reference liming had therein to the aerompairving drawings.
Figure 'l is a front elevation of a mantel, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a. perspwtive view of the same on a smaller seale.
Like letters of ret'erenee indieate like parts in the different views.
The leading features of my d sign r-onsist in the rectangular outlines along the upper portion of the mantel beneath the projeeting ledge 01' shelf and the centrally-disposed reetangular outlines beneath the same, with ree tangular outlines at the upperends of the vertieal supports or uprights. 'lhese reetangnlar outlines are those of drawers in the cross and Vertical portions of the mantel.

Beneath this projecting ledge or shelf is a series of reetangular drawers 0, while he neath the same and disposed eentrally ot' the mantel is the drawer D, of rectangular outline, as shown. At the upper ends of thepillars A are the drawers E, of rectangular outline.
All oftheahove-mentioned reetaneularoutlines are within the portion inelosed hy the outer edges of the pillars and cross portion above the same.
What I claim is- The design for a mantel, suhstantildlv as herein shown and described.
