DESIGN FOR A CYLINDER FOR BICYCLE-PUMPS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,839, dated March 30, 1897.

lle it known that 1, JOHN LINEs, of \Vaterbury, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Cylinders of Portable llicyele-Pmups; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a side view of a pump embodying my design.
This invention relates to a design for cylinders of portable bicycle-pumps; and it eonsists in the configuration and ornamentation as hereinafter described, and shown in the aecompanying illustration.
As herein shown, the design consists of a eylinder A, closed at its upper end by a cap I B and surrounded midway of its length by an annular ring or band (1, which ring or band forms the essential part or distinguishing feature of this design. band C is in relief, or stands above the surface of the cylinder, and breaks the long straight lines thereof, but the face of the band lies in a plane parallel with the plane of the surface of the cylinder.
I claim The design herein shown and described, to: the cylinder of a portable lncycle-pump.
