DESIGN FOR A HOLLOW TILE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,759, dated March 16, 1897.

Application filed December 1, 1896. Serial No. 614,135. Term of patent 14 years.

To a 71'71 out if may worm/=1 Be it known that I, HENRY A. MAUnhn, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new, useful, and original Design for Hollow Tiles, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof, in which Figure 1. is a perspective view of my design. Fig. 2 is an end \l0\\, and Fig. a side View thereof.

The leading feature of my design consists in a wedge-shaped hollow tile, the sides of said tile and its interior spaces or openings being formed by webs or partition-walls having substantially a double-X (XX) appcaranee in end View:

a is the top of the tile, longer at; both ends than the bottom I thus making the 1 lie wcdgeshaped in side view, as shown particularly in Fig. 3, the ends 0 thereof being flaring or downwardly tapering. A central longitudinal diamond-shaped space or opening (Z ex tends through the tile, and above and below webs or partition-walls tapering inwardly or downwardly from the top to the bottom.
