This design relates to the shap e or configuration of the side frame of a car-truck, more particularly of a truck for freight-cars.

Referring to the drawings, A is the rectangular central panel, having on its outer side a shallow marginal flange a and a rectangu lar flange ct within said marginal flange and having its sides parallel with the sides of the marginal flange.

c are upright longitudinal ribs or flanges arranged centrally on the upper side of the bars 0 and increasing in width toward the enlargements B.
