DESIGN FOR A FLOUR-SACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,961, dated August 18, 1896.
Application filed February 26, 1896 Serial No. 580,907- Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, LEO (7. SHRUEDER, a citizen of theUnited States, residing at Olean, in the county of Oattaraugus and State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Flour-Sacks; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will en able others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
Figure 1 is a front view, in elevation, of a flou r-sack, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a rear or reverse view, in elevation, of the same.
The leading feature of my design consists of a bag or sack having the superficial area divided into three panels of contrasting colors horizontally disposed, and midway of the middle or central panel is disposed and produced an interposed frame or panel of a contrasting color, having corner sections produced of con trasting colors to the midway panel or section.
A designates the sack, which may be of any desired size and capacity, and maybe of either paper or textile material. 011 the surface of the sack are produced a bar or panel 1 at the bottom or base of the sack, a central or middle panel 2, of contrasting color, parallel with and joining the panel 1, and a top panel 3, of another contrasting color, and all the panels or bars extending entirely around the sack. The top bar or panel 3 is made broader than the other two, so that when the sack is filled and tied the panels will appear of substantially the same width. 011 the front of the sack in the middle of. the central panel is produced a rectangular outline or frame 4, the surface of which is of a different color to the band in which placed, and in corners of the section lare produced rectan gularsquares 5 G 7, of different colors, whereon may be produced the names of the months of the year and a calendar therefor.
In the body of the frame 4 may be produced any lettering or words desired.
Having thus described my design, What I claim is- The design for a flour-sack, herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto affix my signature is presence of two witnesses.
