Description

08-356. OR 3250867 EX DESIGN.
H. B. THOMPSON GUY SLIP.
No. 25,867. Patented Aug. 4, 1896.
UNITED STATES HENRY l-l.
PATENT OFFICE.
ISAAC TOXVNSEND, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A GUY-SLIP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,867, dated August 4, 1896.
Application filed July 1 1896. Serial No. 597,778. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
1 3e it known that I, HENRY B. THOMPSON, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new Design for Guy-Slips, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.
My design for a guy-slip is shown in the accmnpanying drawing, representing the same in perspective.
The leading feature of my design consists in the general outline and contour of the slip, presenting prominently the raised hump upon the short end tubular section hereinafter described.
One end of the guy-slip, at a, is tubular in form, but for the main portion of its length it is semicircular in cross-section. The edges b of the semicircular portion gradually taper or flare toward the outer end and from thence are rounded gradually, as at c, at the end of the semicircular portion. In the end of the semicircular portion is formed a circular orifice d. The edges 1) are gradually rounded and merge into the end 6 of the tuhularportion. Upon the outer circumference of the tubular portion a, between the extreme end a and the portion e, is an enlarged hump 5 the ends of which gradually merge at about the center of the tubular portion into the main body of such tubular portion. The opposite inclined sides 72 of the hump g grad ually merge into the surfaces of the tubular portion.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a guy-slip substantially as herein illustrated and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 30th day of June, A. 1). 18m
