Description

DQSS? DESIGN.
J. W. FULLER. HANDLE ran sroous, (in).
No. 25,169. Patented Feb. 18, 1896.
UNITED STATES JAMES \VILLIAM FULLER, OF ST.
PATENT OFFICE.
lAl'L, MINNESOTA.
DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR SPOONS, 800.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JAMEs WILLIAM FUL- LER, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Paul, Ramsey county, Minnesota, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Handles of Spoons, Forks, Ladies, and the Like, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the aceonipanying drawings, wherein- Figure 1 is an obverse view of the spoon in elevation, showing; a fork in dotted lines; and Fig. 3 is a reverse of such spoon, showing a ladle in dotted lines.
The same reference-letters apply in both Views of the drawings.
Referring to the latter, the handle of the spoon, fork, ladle, or the like is approximately straight and is embossed to represent logs L with the bark thereon and having projecting knots K at certain points. At its upper end this handle diverges in opposite directions (but still maintaining the appearance of logs) and forms a base B upon which rests a log cabin or house. The latter is embossed to represent logs, though on a much smaller scale than those of the handle, and comprises the house proper, a chimney C, a roof R, and a door I) on the obverse side of the design, whereas upon the reverse side the body is embossed to represent a window \V in the house proper, the roof R, and the top of the chimney C as rising above the latter, the whole having the appearance of beingsupported on said base B.
The leading feature of my design Consists,
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set 4 my hand in presence of two subscribing wit nesses.
JAMES WILLIAM F 'LLER.
