DESIGN FOR A NAIL OR SLUG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,762, dated October 15, 1895.
Application filed September 16, 1895. Serial No. 562,722. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR J. HOWARD, of Malden, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a certain new and useful Design for a Nail or Slug, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is an isometric view of a nail or slug, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is an end View thereof.
My design relates to nails or slugs for ornamenting boot and shoe heels, and the leading feature of my said. design consists in a nail or slug comprising a cylindrical portion tangent longitudinally to a substantially-triangular prismatic portion and connected by a thin neck at the tangent line.
The nail or slug is grooved or out longitudinally in opposite sides at a between a cylindrical portion a and a triangular prismatic portion a to leave a thin neck a along the tangent line of the two larger portions, the diameter of the cylindrical portion a, being shown as equal to the width of one of the sides of the prism a.
I claim- The design for a nail or slug, substantially as set forth.
