Be it known that I, ARTHUR J. HOWARD, of Maiden, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a certain new and useful Design for a. Nail or Slug, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

Figure 1 is an isometric view of a nail or slug, showing my design; and Fig 2 is an end View thereof.

The leading feature of my design consists in a nail or slug havinglongitudinal V-shaped grooves or depressions formed in opposite sides thereof between rounded and enlarged longitudinal edges.

The nail or slugd has longitudinal V-shaped grooves or depressions (1' formed in opposite sides thereof between enlarged and rounded longitudinal edges d the sides of the grooves or depressions being tangent to the rounded edges.

I claim- The design fora nail or slug, substantially as set forth.
