DESIGN FOR A FACE-PLATE FOR FARE-REGISTERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,755, dated October 1 5, 1895.
Application filed October 16, 1894. Serial No. 526,103. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN B. BENTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Elizabeth, in the county of Union and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Face-Plate of a Fare-Register, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, which form a part hereof.
Figure l is a front or face view of a faceplate, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is a section on the line a: a: in Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists in a circular face-plate having at the center an opening surrounded by a raised head or molding concentric with the peripheral edge of the plate and two rectangular openings located, respectively, above and below the central opening and bordered by raised beads or moldings in representation of rectangular frames.
A designates the faceplate of circular form, having at the centeran opening B,surrounded by a raised head or molding b, concentric with the peripheral edge of the plate. Vertically above and below the opening B are two openings O D, of rectangular form and surrounded at a short distance from their edges by raised beads or moldings c (l, in representation of rectangular frames, the plain surfaces 0' (1' within the respective moldings forming representations of mats for the frames.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for the face plate of a fare-register herein shown and described, the same comprising a circular plate A having a central opening 13, a raised head or molding encircling said opening, rectangular openings 0, D, located respectively above and below the central opening and surrounded by raised beads or moldings in representation of rectangular frames, as set forth.
