SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,541, dated August 13, 1895.
Application filed June 11, 1895- Serial No. 552,487. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, AUGUSTUS F. BRABANT, citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Needle-Books; and I do hereby declar'e that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, which represents an opened needle-book of this design.
My design consists, mainly, of a central rectangular figure A having similar rectangu lar figures B and C on both sides, and semicircular figures D and E at its top and bottom, respectively.
The essential feature of my design consists of a central rectangular figure having similar rectangular figures on both sides and semicircular figures at its top and bottom, respectively, the central rectangular figure surrounding an inner rectangular figure crossed by a band from which radiate small rectangular figures, and the side rectangular figures each surrounding a diamond-shaped figure. Within the central figure A is an inner border F, crossed by a band G, toward the center of which radiate four small rectangular figures H, two above and two below said band G. Within each of the side figures B and O is an inner border I and a diamond-shaped figure J, on which are representations of twigs and birds. \Vithin the upper semicircular figure D is a nearly-complete circular figure K, and within the lower semicircular figure E is an inner semicircular figure L.
I claim as my invention The design for a needle book substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand the 5th day of February, 1895.
