DESIGN FOR A CO-MMUNlON-SERVICE TRAY.
PECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,901, dated December 25, 1894. Application fil d November 17, 1894. Serial No. 529,188. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EDWIN J. HOWE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Communion-Service Trays; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to a new and original design for communion service trays, and it consists generally in the peculiar shape and arrangement of the same.
In the accompanying drawings wherein a tray fashioned after my design is shown-Figure 1 represents a perspective view of the tray; Fig. 2, an elevation thereof.
In the drawings A designates the bottom tray, of ring-shape having a flat upper face and on which is a circular series of closely arranged holding devices for the individual glasses. From the inner edge of the ring A extend the supports B on which is the upper tray 0, which upper tray has a closely arranged circular series of glass holders near its edge.
The tray 0 has a closed central portion, from the'center of which projects the handle D which is in the form of a cross.
The ring A has suitable supports on its un-' der side.
The essential feature of the design is the lower tray A and the upper tray 0 supported above the same with a handle at the center extending up above the tray.
