DESIGN FOR A PATTERN OR TOOL FOR GARMENT-DESIGNERS.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, LEOPOLD PERNETZ, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Garment-Designers Pattern or Tool, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
This is a design for a garment designers pattern or tool, the leading feature of which is the shape of the edges of the pattern or tool.
In the drawing the figure represents a plan of the tool, showing with exactness the shape of the edges constituting the design. These edges are designated on the drawing as follows: 142, 1-3-2, 57-6, 586, 9- 1110, 9'1210, 13-15-l4 and 13--16-l4.
The pattern or tool will be a plate of any desired size having an outline or contour in exact proportion to the lines 1et2 and 1 32 and having openings a, b and cbounded by edges in exact proportion to the lines 5 7-6 and 586 bounding opening a; 9-- 1110 and 9-12-10 bounding opening I); and 13-15-14 and 131614 bounding opening 0. The solid portions 01 are not an essential feature of the design.
My design is confined to and essentially consists of the exact curves indicated in the drawing, or curves of exactly the same proportion or sweep when formed upon plates of different size. The plate in practice will be eighteen or twenty inches in length.
I claim The design for a garment designers pattern or tool, substantially as shown and described. In testimony whereof I subscribe my signature in presence of two witnesses.
