DESIG N FOR A PATTERN FOR WOVEN FABRIC.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,166, dated April 2, 1895.

Application filed January 30, 1895 Serial No. 536,717. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JAMES LYALL, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new Design for a Pattern for a Woven Fabric, of which the following is a specification.

This woven fabric usually has heavy threads and is known as canvas and is used in bicycle tires.

The leading feature of this design fora pattern for a woven fabric is a diagonal stripe with crossing stripes, the surfaces of which are lined at right angles to each other.

In the drawings, Figure 1 shows a piece of the woven fabric on a small scale so as to indicate the general proportion and appearance of the stripe to the width of the woven fabric, and Fig. 2 is a view of one end of the stripe of a size sufliciently large to show the design of the pattern woven in the stripes extending across the fabric.

The plain stripes C pass diagonally across the fabric and the intermediate diagonal stripes D have crossing stripes with the lines in the stripes 2 at right angles to the lines in the stripes 3, and there is a narrow stripe 15 central in the plain diagonal stripe C.

I claim- The design for a pattern for a woven fabric substantially as described and shown.
