DESIGN FOR A METALLIC BOX.
SPECIFICATION forming* pari; 0f Design N0. 21,473, dated April 19, 1892.
Application led February 25, 1392. Serial No. 422|823. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY A. WEIHMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Receptacles of Metal of a Cylindrical Shape, of which the following is a specification.
Reference being had tothe accompanying drawings, illustrating the design, Figure l is a side elevation of a metallic box having my design applied thereto, and Fig. 2 is a plan View of the same.
The leading feature of the design consists of the hghly-ornamented scroll pattern shown arranged around the cylindrical surface of the box or object. I have shown this ornamentation arranged upon the upper and lower portions of the box adjacent to the edges.
The ornamentation upon the upper portion, as will be seen, extends partly over upon the upper surface or top of the box. With this arrangement of the scroll pattern it will be seen that the box is highly ornamented upon its top or upper surface adjacent to the edge, as well as having the ornamentation visible upon the sides when the box is viewed in elevation.
Having now described my design, what I desire to secure by Letters Patent is- The design for a receptacle of metal of a cylindrical shape, substantially as shown and described.
