DESIGN FOR A COUCH, LOUNGE, OR SOFA.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,362, dated February 23.

Application filed December 22,1890. Serial No. 375,507. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom, it ntay concern.-

Be it known that I, ROBERT S. WRIGHT, of Somerville, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts. have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Conch, Lounge, or Sofa, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, is a specification.

The drawing is a perspective view of a couch, lounge, or sofa, showing my design.

The leading feature of my design is the head-section at an angle to the body of the lounge and the side rails of the frame prolonged beneath the head-section in drooping extensions terminating near the floor.

A is the body or frame of the lounge, couch, or sofa, B the headsection, and C C the drooping extensions of the side rails of the frame. Duplicate open triangles with curved lower sides are formed by the head-section B, the

extensions C (1, and the oblique rods E E, as shown. The frame and head-section are properly upholstered, and,\vith the legs and drooping extensions, are suitably finished and ornamerited.

The peculiar effect of the drooping extensions C G beneath the head-section B is characteristic of my design and is not materially affected by the ornamentation of the parts.

That I claim is The design for a couch, lounge, or sofa, herein shown and described.
