UIRGER DARK, OI" CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, ASSIGNOR TO SHERMAN S. JElVE'lT & OO., OF BUFFALO, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A SHELF-BRACKET OR WALL-PIECE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,305, dated January 19, 1892. Application filed October 24, 1891. Serial No. 409.723. Term oi patent 7 years.
.To al whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, BIRGER BARK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Stove-Shelf Brackets and Wall- Pieces, of which the following is a specification.
My design is for the ornamentation of the backing or Wall-piece used in connection with the high or flue shelf of a cooking stove or range.
The drawing shows in perspective a view of my. design in connection with a cooking stove or range D, the flue A, and the high shelf B.
The design, as a whole, consists in the wallpiece proper, designated by the numerals 1, 2, and 3, and the tlue-pece, designated by the numerals 4 and 5. Below the shelf the Wallpiece is provided with the arabesqne ornamentations 1 1, arranged on either side of the flue A. The parts 1 of this portion of the design are alike and balance each other. The
two parts 2 2 of the wail-piece, which are 25 arranged above the shelf B, are also of arabesqne ornamentation, and, as shown, join with the portions 1 of the design at 6 beyond the ends of the shelf. Between the upper portions the two parts 2 2of the design and con neeting them are the leaf ornaments 3. Surrounding the damper C in the Hue is the finepiece, which is in general outline of circular form. It consists of two spreading or fan like portions 4 4, arranged one above and the 35 other below the damper, while between these fan-like ornaments are arranged the curved ornaments 5 5, concentric with the damper.
What I claim is- The design for the backing for the flue or 4o high shelf of a stove, substantiall y as herein described and shown.
In testimony whereof I ax my signature in presence of two witnesses.
BIRGER DARK.
