Description

UPS-P1 1 DESIGN.
OILER.
Patented Oct. 21
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
WILLIAM YOGEII, OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR AN OiLER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,217, dated October 21, 1890.
Application iiictl August 28, I890. Serial No. 363,357. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
lle it known that I, WILLIAM Yoom, a rcsi dent of the city-of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a ncwand useful Design for Oilers, which design is fully set forth in the following specification, as illustrated by the accompanying photograph.
My design consists in the general shape or configuration shown in the accompanying photographic illustrations thereof.
The nozzle of the oiler is of the usual narrow conical shape, the cone being truncated just below its apex. The greatest circumference of the oiler is not at the bottom of the oiler, but from the bottom it flares upward and outward. Then there is a slight horizontal flange inward, and the circumference of the oiler immediately above this flange is somewhat narrower. The surface of the body of the oiler then curves inwardly until the top is reached. 'lhis curve is interrupted. as shown in the accompanying photograph, the upper portion of this part of the body being somewhat raised outwardly; but these features contribute in a comparativelysmall degree to the design as a whole, and may be omitted without impairing the identity of the said design. lhe top of the body has a heliealty-disposcd bead raised slightly above the surface of the top. At the foot of the nozzle there is a cap, which is greater in diameter than the top, so as to project beyond the top around its entire circumference.
The accompanying drawing will serve to illustrate the design that I have invented.
A represents the lower and outward flaring part of the body of the oiler.
ll represents the upper part of the body of the oiler from such lower part to the top, the surface being interrupted by a bead at b, and the upper portion of the surface being slightly raised at 0.
( represents the top.
I) represents the cap at the foot of the nozzle.
I represents the nozzle.
\Vltat I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for an oiler, consisting of the shape or configuration of the several parts, the greatest circumference of the body portion of the oiler being in a plane intermediate between its top and bottom, and the surface of such portion being inclined inwardly from such plane, both above and below the same, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
