DESIGN FOR THE EXTERlOR OF A HOUSE.
To all whom it may concern.
Beit known that I, AUoUsTUsBnowN M ORI- SON, of Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Exterior of a House, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 represents a perspective view of a house showing my design. Fig. 2 represents a horizontal section or plan of the first story. Fig. 3 represents a horizontal section or plan of the second story.
Similar letters of reference designate corre sponding parts in all the figures.
A house of this design consists of two stories With an attic third story within a gable roof, one side having an octagonal hay in the first story, a projecting flat face to the second story, and a gable to the third story, the first story having a veranda, with a hip roof extending widthwisc thereof and terminating at one end with an entrance-porch having a gable roof, the rear end having a projecting portion from the first story with a hip roof,
all as hereinafter more particularly to be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
A B C designate the exterior of the first and second stories and the attic. The first story has an octagonal bay a at the side thereof. The second story has a flatfaced projecting portion 1), the face of which is about flush with the outer face of the bay, 5 the said portion having a gable roof 0. The rear of the house at the first story has a portion D projecting therefrom with a hip roof (I. The house has a gable roof E F, from which the aforementioned roof cprojects, and 0 from which an additional portion e projects on the opposite side. The first story has at the front a veranda G, with a hip roof g, extending widthwise thereof and terminating with an entrance-porch II, having a gable roof h.
