DESIGN FOR THE EXTERIOR OF A HOUSE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,085, dated August 12, 1890.
Application filed July 15, 1890. Serial No. 358,849. Term ofpatent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM K. BENEDICT, of the city and county of New York, in the State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Exterior of a House, of which the following is a specification, reference heing had to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 represents a perspective View of a Fig. 2 represents a longitudinal section or plan of the first story. Fig. 3 represents a horizontal section or plan of the second story.

A house of this design consists of a first story and a second and third attic stories contained in a hip roof, from which dormerwindows project, and has a wing or L exten- 2o sion projecting from the rear thereof, a piazza around the front and one side thereof, a similar piazza contained in one corner of the extension, and a tower springing up from one corner of the roof and surmounted by an ogee roof, all as hereinafter more particularly described with reference to the drawings.
A B C designate the exterior of the first story and second and third attic stories contained in the hip roof D, from which dormerwindows (I, having gable or hip roofs 0, project, and at one corner of which is a tower E, surmounted by an ogee roof 0. A piazza F extends along the front and one side of the house, and is covered by the main roof D.
