DESIGN FOR A SCALE-BEAM FOR GRAIN-WEIGHERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,833, dated May 6, 1890.
Application filed April 4. 1890. Serial No. 346,615. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
I'Ie it known that I, FRANCIS II. RICHARDS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hartford, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and prod need a new and original Design fora Sealeloam for Grain-\Veighers, of; which the following is a specification, reference being had to the aceompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1. is a plan or top view of a scale-beam embodying my design. Fig. 2 is an end elevation of the scale-beam.
Similar characters designate like parts in each of the figures.
The leading feature of my design resides in the shaft portion and the terminal arms of the structure shown in the drawings. The shaft S has at the ends thereof the oppositelydisposed arms 15 and D, outwardly and downwardly curved. Each said arm is furnished with a V-shaped outline or form, which may he set with the apex upward, as shown by solid lines at F, or downward, as shown by dotted lines f, the effect sought to be ob' tained being the appearance of a sharpangle at those places. ()n the opposite side of the shaft, and intermediate of the length thereof, there is another arm IE. 'lhis arm is also furnished with a similar V-shapod form, designated at F or f.
I claim The design for a grain-weigher scale-beam herein shown and described, snhstaniiallyas set forth.
