JOSEPH LOCKE, OF TOLEDO, OIIIO, ASSIGNOR TO THE W. I.. LIBIIEY & SON COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A CONDlMENT-HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,462, dated December 3, 1889.
Application filed October 7, 1389- Serial No. 326,285. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH LOCKE, a citizen of the United States, and a residentof Toledo, in the county of Lucas and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Condiment-Receptacles; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being bad to the accompanyiug, drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form part of this specification.
The class to which my design belongs is that of condiment-receptacles, 850., and has reference to the exterior contour and ornamentation thereof.
The drawing, Figure 1, represents a salt or pepper-box embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal vertical section thereof.
The leading feature of my design is a re ceptacle of the character specified in the form of athimble having a closed bottom and perforated top.
A designates the receptacle, in the form of a truncated cone with a portion of the upper part indented, as at B,in representation of the usual indentations of a thimble, and with the upper portion inclosed by a perforated cover C. An annular corrugation D is formed upon the side of the receptacle.
