The accompanying photograph is a face View of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and the border B. The body A is composed of large figures having somewhat flower-shaped outlines containing flower and leaf forms and other ornaments of various characters. The

border B has an inner margin composed of a row of ornaments and an outer margin having a wide band of flower and leaf forms and smaller ornaments. Between the margins are arranged large figures having somewhat flower-shaped outlines and containing flower and leaf forms and other ornaments of various characters.

1. A design for carpets, consisting of the body A, substantially as shown.

2. A design for carpets, consisting of the border B, substantially as shown.

3. A design for carpets, consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
