To all whom it may concern.-

Beit known that I, VALENTINE SoHUoK, of the city. county, and Slate of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Braid for Trimming Ladies Garments and lor other Purposes; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had tothe accompanying drawing,and to the letters ofreference marked thereon, making a part of this specification, in which my new design is illust-rated by a View in perspective, upon an enlarged scale, of a piece of braid with its end cnt trans versely to show its outline in cross-section.

The braid A presents iu its general configura tion the appearance of two cylindrical cords applied longitudinally to each other and to one edge of a flat-sided rectangular strip. In cross-section it presents an outline bounded by two parallel side lines, o; a,which terminate at one end in a cross-line, b, at right angles therewith,and at the opposite end in segments c c of circles severally described about centers which are respectively outside of said lateral line,and which intersect to form a central cusp beyond said lines.
