PATENT OFFICE DESIG'N FOR A BUILDING SIDING PANEL Abbott Coburn, Chicago, Ill.
Application February 21, 1941, Serial No. 99,162
Term of patent 14 years '0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, Abbott Coburn, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental design for a Building Siding Panel, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, in which:
Fig. 1 is a face view of a building siding panel showing my new design.
Fig, 2 is a plan, edge view of the panel.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the panel taken at the line 3 on Fig. 1 and viewed in the direction of the arrow.
The essential feature of my design consists in providing a rectangular panel having smooth edged sides and ends, with two series of vertical simulated mortar grooves spaced at irregular intervals with respect to each other and so disposed as to give the efiect of a plurality of siding shingles of varying widths, a central horizontal groove of the same width as the vertical grooves and alternately off-set above and below a longitudinal medial line with respect to adjacent shingles and to the extent of its Width, simulated edge mortar grooves so dimensioned and arranged as to register with ungrooved portions of adjacent panels, whereby to give the effect of irregular sized shingles laid with uneven butts.
What I claim is: The ornamental design for a building siding panel, as shown and described.
ABBOTT COBURN.
